Everyone knows that Superman is the ultimate indestructible hero. He can “leap tall buildings in a single bound” and is “faster then a locomotive”. But even Superman has one vital natural weakness; Kryptonite, the radioactive remains of his native planet. This green rock has an unusual appeal and a strange effect on the “man of steel”. He’s drawn to it, he can’t resist it. It’s his “Achilles heel”.
Speaking of appealing and enticing rocks, this brings us to the topic at hand. Diamonds and gemstones fashioned into women’s jewelry--- are widely revered as delightful temptations that many cannot resist. As the song says, “diamonds are a girl’s best friend”, and we all need friends! Years ago jewelry for women was considered to be a small additive to ones look. Over time it has become a major component of a woman’s dressing regime. A woman’s jewelry is no longer worn only on special occasions but as a daily part of dressing for work, leisure or any time at all. Nowadays, jewelry for a woman is often a way of expressing herself. Inspirational charms and “message” jewelry for women often have special meanings that are symbolic or even religious or spiritual in nature. For example, this writer recently satisfied a desire of many many years by gifting herself with a Whiteflash A CUT ABOVE® Peace pendant.
Unlike Superman’s kryptonite, jewelry may make a lady go a bit weak in the knees, but it won’t hurt at all! It’s a gift that will suit any occasion and is likely to trigger a sparkle in her eye that won’t quit! Like Mae West said; “I have always felt that a gifted diamond shines so much brighter then one you buy for yourself”. Elegant women’s jewelry will always impress as a thoughtful and caring gesture. After all, if food is the way to a man’s heart, then jewelry is the way to a woman’s! A diamond engagement ring, of course, is the ultimate expression of love and commitment. If you’re not quite ready for that yet then a bracelet, earrings or a necklace is sure to impress. Holidays, birthdays, wedding days or any day at all is a good time to convey your love with a bit of bling. It’s also a great anti-depressant! A woman’s jewelry is her most adored accessory, and it’s a pretty good bet that a gift of jewelry for a woman will lift her spirits and have her treating you like a king for at least a day or two. Anyone can feel like Superman (or Superwoman!) by giving in to the temptation of some sparkling and irresistible “kryptonite” in the form of diamonds, gold, platinum, gemstones, or anything in-between. I am feeling a weakening sensation just thinking about it! There must be a bit of “green rock” somewhere nearby!
