Why is your return policy on diamonds from the Virtual Selection category different from your in-house inventory?
Diamonds from our Virtual Selection category have a shorter return policy (10 days) than on our in-house diamonds
(30 days) because diamonds from this "virtual inventory" do not belong to Whiteflash. While some of the manufacturers that participate in our Virtual Service do allow 30 day returns, others do not. So we have a singular policy aimed at making sure we can uphold all our obligations, without having multiple policies that depend on the specific diamond selected.
It is important to appreciate that purchasing a "virtual diamond" from Whiteflash is a substantially different process than with most other sellers in that we perform a thorough analysis of the diamond including pre-screening by our diamond consultants, careful gemological review by our staff gemologists, and light performance imaging. Based upon all of this analysis, if you decide the diamond does not fit your needs you have the option to be refunded before ever taking possession, or to have us bring in a different diamond for the same comprehensive workup. When you do proceed, there is a very high likelihood that the diamond will be everything you expect it to be. But we understand that many customers want to have their own independent appraisal done, and 10 days is usually ample time to arrange that.
