Your custom ring design beings with a vision, shared with a drawing or photograph and communication about details.  Once the project is accepted, an exciting, ongoing process of discussion, design and manufacture takes place.  Our step by step process is very important.  Nothing is left to chance as we work to create a beautiful, lasting expression of your personal custom wedding ring.  Pricing and projected timelines are established at the beginning of the project.  Most custom rings take approx 4-6 weeks to be completed.  Less complex work may take less, while very complex work can take longer.  In all cases our priority will be careful attention to detail and finest craftsmanship for a beautiful, sparkling creation that will last a lifetime.

There will be an initial deposit required for all custom rings.  If the customer should decide to abandon the project this deposit is non-refundable, as we must be able to recover some of our design and material costs.  We prefer to work with our own diamonds and materials.  If we agree to work with outside diamonds the customer must submit a form establishing mutually agreeable limits of liability.

 Step 1:  Your Vision - You submit a drawing or a photo of a ring that inspires you - or we create one from your ideas. 

Step 2:  Details

• Metals to be used?
• Head to be used?
• Measurements? (note that we will not make a custom ring < 2.0 mm in width)
• Finger size of wearer?
• Will a matching ring be added later?
• Size and descriptions of diamonds.
• Number of diamonds.
• Measurements in mm, shapes, color, clarity?
• How are they to be set?

Step 3:  Quote

A detailed quote will be emailed to you.

Step 4:  Approval & Down-payment

Upon approval of the quote and receipt of a 25% non refundable down-payment, work will begin on your custom ring.

Step 5:  Wax Model

If the project involves casting our designers will create a wax model.  Photos of the wax model will be sent for your approval (note that wax models appear thicker than the actual piece will be after polish). Minor Modifications can be made at this stage if necessary - but that will extend the projected timeline.

Step 6:  Casting

Once we have your written approval, the piece will be cast by our metal-smiths, diamonds carefully set by our jewelers, and final polish and cleaning will take place.  Magnified photos of the finished ring will be sent to you as a courtesy (note that metal appears bulkier in magnified photos than it appears ‘live’). 

Step 7. Your Vision Becomes Reality

Upon payment of the balance your finished custom creation will be shipped to you via FedEx priority overnight mail.
