Five men, including one Belgian national, were arrested in Zimbabwe, charged with possession of diamonds from the Marange district. That country recently opened up the Marange diamond mine to all residents. Finders of diamonds are supposed to sell discovered rough to the state according to regulations, but the open market may pay more than the state is willing to. In an effort to control possession, police have set up roadblocks to search residents.
