Huge Sucess

The proposal was a huge success! Everything went off as planned. My gf lives in Vancouver, Canada (our hometown) and I surprised her this past Friday night by showing up at her front doorstep (it was also her birthday weekend!). She was totally shocked! So with her mood and emotions already elevated from my surprise visit, I took her to a beautiful park on Sunday, 7/27. The significance of 7/27 was that it was our 1yr ""anniversary"" and the park was the same one that we visited last year. I led her to our ""spot"", proceeded into some mushy talk, got down on one knee, and the rest is history! Again, she was in complete shock, so her family did a great job keeping the secret :) She absolutely loves the ring! and it definitely looks amazing on her! I was so nervous on whether I had made the right decisions on the setting, diamond specs, but from her reaction, I think i did a pretty good job :) Thank you so much for your help and support! . As you probably noticed, I was pretty nervous throughout the entire process, and you did a great job re-assuring me that you guys would be around to make sure everything was 100%. Regarding the ""fix"", I will keep you posted. I have another trip to Canada planned the weekend of 8/9 and she will be visiting 2 weeks after that. I have to see whether she is even willing to part with the ring. :)
