How to Propose and Get a Yes!

Congratulations! You’ve found the perfect girl, the one you want to share your life, hopes and dreams with. Now you’ve got to find the perfect engagement ring and the best way to ask for her hand: the way that expresses just how special she is and how much you love her.
Whiteflash.com decided to create a helpful guide for getting your proposal right, with all the things you need to think of before you plan your proposal.
1) Discuss Marriage Before You Propose
Of course it’s romantic to surprise your sweetheart with a proposal but if you are going to do that, make sure you’ve actually discussed marriage before you propose. Otherwise it’s the biggest mistake you can make when proposing (especially if you’re planning to do so on live television).
If you’re still not convinced think of it like this- imagine bringing a child home with you and asking your partner if they’ve ever considered adopting?
2) Pick the right location
The location of your proposal says a lot about how well you know your beau and if you choose the wrong place you’ll have got off to a bad start without even opening your mouth. Sure you want a romantic location but a romantic location isn’t a cliché.
A romantic location is a place which is special either to both of you because of some shared special meaning or because of something which is personal to the love of your life. Hint: if you met in McDonalds don’t return to that venue!
3) Pick The Right Timing
This might seem obvious, however, it really is important to think about what is going on in your lives around the moment you propose. Proposing marriage at the wrong time can turn an otherwise good idea into something your other half wants to avoid like the plague.
There’s no hard and fast rules here, just make sure your fiancé to be is in a positive frame of mind at the time that you pop the question. That doesn’t rule out grand gestures, it means not planning anything you can’t postpone for a future date.
4) Pick The Perfect Ring
The ring that you produce is the clincher. Tradition dictates that you should spend one to three month’s salary on an engagement ring and there’s a good reason for that. The engagement ring that you gift with your marriage proposal says everything about how much you value your future bride. This doesn’t mean you should spend more than you can afford- it means you shouldn’t be cheap!
The engagement ring you choose should be elegant, luxurious and classy- exactly like the woman you want to marry.
Whiteflash.com offers a range of stylish, luxurious designer engagement rings by Verragio, Simon G, Vatche, Ritani, Danhov and Benchmark.
