From JCK Events - Jewelry retailers from around the world will have the opportunity to be enlightened by leading industry authorities who are scheduled to speak in the expanded educational program at JCK Las Vegas. In addition to perusing the exhibits and attending the special events, retailers should plan to take time to participate in this unparalleled educational program taking place in two buildings this year at both the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino and the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC). The conference kicks off with several extensive tracks devoted to the topics critical to business success and professional enhancement. Plus, there will be special sessions featuring industry and editorial experts, an executive round-table presentation, and renowned speakers including JCK's keynote presentations by the legendary Suzanne Somers and independent jeweler consultant Shane Decker.

The educational program held in the ballrooms at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino on Wednesday, May 30 and Thursday, May 31, from 9:00 am - 4:30 pm will include separate tracks on Diamonds, Gems, Business, Jewelers of America and Jewelers Notebook. The hour-long seminars include such hot topics as "Fancy Cut Diamond Grading" and "Jump Start a Selling Spree with Natural Color Diamonds" (Diamonds track); "Top Five Hot Color Topics" and "GIA Research Update" (Gems track); "Independence on the Web" and "Clienteling Your Way to Core Business Success" (Business track sponsored by Ziva Jewels); "A Realistic Look at Using the Internet to Grow" (JA track) and, "Reaching Higher Platinum Profits" (Jewelers Notebook track sponsored by Arzy). On Thursday, May 31, attendees are invited to kick off their educational program with the IDI Breakfast Panel Discussion "It's All About the Money: The Diamond Industry 2007." Attendees will learn from the industry insiders about the systems, tactics and know-how to benefit from diamond pricing and sales at every level of the pipeline.
On the opening morning of the Show, Friday, June 1 at the Las Vegas Convention Center attendees will be wowed by an incredible breakfast keynote presentation by Suzanne Somers. In addition, a second keynote presentation featuring Shane Decker, Independent Jewelry Consultant, Ex-SELL-Ence, Inc., will take place over lunch at the Las Vegas Convention Center at 12:00 pm on Saturday, June 2. Decker will discuss "Are They Really Just Looking?," the real truth behind building relationships with customers from the beginning even if they don't make a purchase. Complimentary boxed lunches will be available for all attendees.
On Saturday, June 2, from 8:30 am - 10:00 am at the Las Vegas Convention Center there will be an Executive Roundtable Discussion moderated by Matt Runci, President, Jewelers of America. High-powered panelists include Beryl Raff, JC Penney; John Green, Lux Bond & Green; Terry Burman, Sterling; Ofer Azrielant, Jewelry.com; Pete Engel, President, Fred Meyer Jewelers; and Esther Fortunoff, Executive Vice President Merchandising, Fortunoff. Retailers will hear this power panel of industry leaders discuss the most critical topics pertaining to their business such as synthetics versus natural diamonds, the growing impact of the Internet, and business responsibility and accountability. And, from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm, there will be a Profit Mastery Seminar focusing on practical tools to evaluate a business and grow its value, by Steve LeFever, Chairman and Founder, Business Resource Services. There is a fee of $295 for this course.
From Friday, June 1 - Tuesday, June 5 at the ETS Equipment, Technology, Services and Supplies Pavilion on Level 1 of the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino, the Manufacturing Jewelers & Suppliers of America (MJSA) will present "At the Bench Live," a series of hands-on interactive demonstrations conducted by some of the industry's leading jewelers.
