603 Carat Rough Diamond Sells for $12.36 Million

The 603 carat "Lesotho Promise," a rough diamond uncovered at the Letseng Mine in the small country of Lesotho sold for $12.36 million to Graff Jewels at auction in Antwerp today. According to the BBC, bidding for the
diamond began October 4 and continued until the last moment.
Lesotho Promise is the 15th largest rough diamond discovered to date. Greff Jewels is based in London, with a dozen locations worldwide.
