EGL USA is introducing a new “360 º Diamond Report Service" available in July of this year. It will feature light performance as a new EGL measure for overall diamond quality. The new service was developed utilizing ImaGem’s light performance technology.
The lab will be assigning a new overall grade for each diamond called the Diamond’s Natural Attraction, or DNA. It will be made of twelve elements relating to cut, proportion, light performance and polish & symmetry, or finish.
Mitch Jakubovic, director of
EGL USA says “Today’s retailers and consumers are increasingly savvy. This new report goes beyond any evaluation available before. It accounts for the fire and magic of each stone, enabling retailers and consumers, whether shopping in a store or online, to have complete confidence in their purchases."
