Import to the UK - Outstanding Service and Diamond!

We are based in the UK and needed to find a great quality diamond for my mother for her 80th birthday. Initially we tried a couple of UK suppliers but were not really convinced because they could not supply the technical information we needed about the diamonds on offer. We needed to see things like "light reports" etc which weren't available. So we looked around on the web and decided to import. Whiteflash were highly recommended on the PriceScope forum so we tried them and James Allen, another on-line supplier. James Allen were OK but the service and information from Whiteflash was outstanding. In the end we went for one of their "Cut Above" stones which have an ideal cut and overall excellent characteristics. They also set this for us in a beautiful 18k ring. The whole Whiteflash process was excellent, from the really clear information on the website to the support from all of their team. They even sent photographs of the mounted stone just before the ring shipped. When it arrived it really was a "wow" moment - the ring was beautiful with an intense sparkle and fire. We also used a cash transfer service to get their 3% discount - I highly recommend a company called Transfer Wise who dealt with our cash transfer for £35 - not the £245 that our bank wanted! Finally we got the ring assessed for insurance purposes in the UK. The valuation was way above what we paid and also the jeweler noted that he would have charged £2.5k more for such an exceptional stone. This was the icing on the cake and validated our decision. I genuinely can't recommend Whiteflash highly enough.
