In short, perfection
I literally cannot say enough about my diamond and ring buying experience with Whiteflash - from the very first moment of contact, the team there has been nothing short of amazing in all that they have done. I used pricescope.com as a basis for a large amount of the research and information gathering I had done a few months prior to initiating my diamond search, and ultimately submitted a “request for a proposal” through this website to see what kind of diamonds out there fell within my parameters. Traci from Whiteflash, whom I had actually spoken with on a previous occasion a few months before as I was just starting to look, got back to me within 24 hours with a few center stone options. She and I had more than a handful (probably closer to 10) of conversations over the phone and email over the course of a few weeks about particular stones, specific attributes and characteristics I was looking for and what might be the best ultimate blend of quality and price. One of the most fantastic things about buying a diamond online is the inventory at hand - I was shown numerous stones with attributes I was looking for, whereas when I looked at particular in-store stones there was quite often an extremely limited selection of specific color and clarity grade diamonds I wanted to see (and sometimes no stones at all that fell within my parameters). Traci was absolutely fantastic to work with (ask for her!).
After helping me select a center stone, I was privileged enough to work with one of Whiteflash's in-house CAD designers to custom design my setting. Joe and I spoke numerous times about the particular characteristics we were looking for in the setting (which we had been unable to find anywhere, Tiffany's and Harry Winston included) - I cannot stress enough how incredible it is to literally create the ring that is in your mind's eye and watch someone else translate that into reality. Within 14 days after confirming the design (which is sent to you more or less as an exact picture of what the final setting will look like, unlike some other true CAD (think MS DOS style) designs I saw), I received amazing professional grade photos of the final product. Now I'm just left to anxiously await the proposal…
In short, Whiteflash has made the diamond and ring buying experience one of absolute enjoyment for me. Any initial hesitation I had about buying my diamond and setting online, from a company located 1,000 miles away from me, completely dissipated after my first few conversations with the team there because of how knowledgeable and easy to work with they are - in fact, I can honestly say that I preferred this experience over something in-store because never once did I feel pushed upon by a sales person like I did with some of the local jewelers. Whiteflash has an incredible wealth of information online to utilize, both regarding diamonds, settings and jewelry in general, and in regards to specific stones – lots of diamonds not only come with a picture, but a Sarin report, Aset image, and ideal/hearts and arrows images as well. All of Whiteflash's diamonds are certified conflict-free, which was something very important to both my girlfriend and me. I encourage anyone who is starting to think of heading down this path to at least go to Whiteflash’s website and poke around – you’ll be amazed at just how much useful information is there…and once you speak with Traci or anyone else at Whiteflash, I think you’ll realize that there really isn’t a better place out there to help you buy the perfect diamond and engagement ring.
