Here a story on how I would have never thought to buy my wife's engagement ring from a website.. In 2008 my wife was watching a tv reality show and they mention whitefish.com on where they bought a engagement and wedding bands from. Long story short here is my wife go on the site and falls in live with the pave band with asscher diamond. After spending 3 months looking at on line diamonds, all the retail mall store jewelry stores, specialty jewelry stores, and even jewelers row in Philadelphia, no one had anything like what whitefish had on their site with with colorless and nearly flawless asscher, in a platinum band for the price i got with a 1.03 carat diamond. Now the first thing i was concerned was getting "duped" by not getting the diamond i picked out since I couldn't see it at all but whitefish put me at ease a bit when they sent me the the X-ray of my diamond that was being shipped to me. Next the absolute professionalism in order this ring and putting my mind at ease with how they handle shipping out the ring, all the precautions that is necessary to make 100% certain the ring does not get lost from the time it leave whitefish's office to me up in PA. I even had to go to the shipper company to pick it up as they would NOT deliver it at home. MAY I say that the best way so that you know it can't get lost and even if it did happen i had 100% assurance that whitefish would not charge me for the ring if I didn't have it in my hand. The first time i took the ruing out of the package and my wife was next to me seeing it we were both just knocked off our feet as this ring was even BETTER than the pictures showed, it even made some real high end rings we looked at in high priced boutiques look cheap. The best part here was i didn't even come close to the appraisal for what I paid for it!. So a few months later as we go to an jeweler for my wedding ring we talked to the store owner and master jeweler of 20+ years and is certified gemologist , about getting insurance on my ring I bought from them and my wife's rings. Her wedding band he bluntly said wasn't worth the insurance since it had a big crack threw the main diamond (this was bought at a mall jewelry store) my ring of course was insurable since I bout it from him but when he took my wife's engagement ring (that was bought from whitefish.com) he just could not believe the quality of the ring, the diamonds and the pave diamond especially when we told him we bought the ring online and never saw it in real life until it was delivered. He used his jewelers tools and confirmed the asscher diamond was the color and clarity that we picked out from whitefish.com (from the whitefish paperwork that accompanied the ring) and he was even blown away that all the pave diamond were clean high quality diamonds as well. (usually a lot of jewelers would use a lesser quality for the pave diamonds since they are so small). So since we were getting insurance on it he had to apprised the ring and it we were shocked that the price he gave it was close to $17,000 - $20,000 and this was only 3 months after we just bought it. When I told the jeweler how much it cost me. he could not believe the price for the quality of the ring. I would RECOMMEND whitefish.com to anyone looking for engagement rings.
