Dear Friends, Some of you already know it happened, some of you don't.

Dear Friends, Some of you already know it happened, some of you don't. Some of you knew it was going to happen, some of you didn't. I wanted to write an email officially announcing to everyone that I got engaged on Friday, December 31st (New Year's Eve) in downtown Chicago to my new fiance' (wow it seems weird to use the word fiance'). Her name is Katie Dixon and she's from Nashville. She will be 25 in February, and we met at work. We both work at Sony, and some of her friends decided to play matchmakers... it only took working together for over a year before we actually went out on a date! Some of you may want to know more specific details about the actual proposal or other things, but others of you may not, so I will leave it fairly simple, and if you would like more detail, please feel free to call me and I'll fill you in on EVERYTHING that happened that night, or any other details you might wish to know! After eating dinner at an amazing restaurant in downtown Chicago, I surprised her with a carriage ride through the city and a bottle of champagne. Twenty minutes into the ride we stopped at a park in the city, got out, walked to a lit gazebo in the middle of the park, and that's where I asked her. After giggling uncontrollably for about 2 minutes, she said yes! So there you have it... I'm getting married! It was impossible for us to call everyone we knew that night or even the next day to let them all know, so that's why I wanted to send out an email to inform all of you! Please feel free to tell all of your family members, friends, enemies, siblings, etc. about our happy news. We are both extremely happy and excited and I just wanted to let you all know. I've attached a couple of pictures for those of you that don't actually know Katie. Finally, I want to personally thank Denise Newberg for all her hard work over the past month. She is the one that sold me the ring and I just want her to know that her hard work did not go unnoticed or unappreciated. I think it only took looking at probably 75 different diamonds before deciding on the one we ended up with, so I thank her for her patience and willingness to help me deal with probably the most stressful decision of my life up to this point! Thank you, Denise! Also, if anyone is in the market, or going to be in the market for diamonds... I highly recommend her to any of you. I can easily put you in touch with her... she was a huge help! That's all I know right now... we've started talking about dates and locations to have the wedding, but no official date has been set yet. I'll let you all know!
