OGI - Yehuda Introduce Rough Color Evaluator

OGI Systems and Zvi Yehuda, an Israeli developer of color machines, have introduced a colorimeter which will predict color in rough diamonds.

According to reports the accuracy for rough diamonds in the D-K range as well as fancy yellow is +/- ½ color grade. An indication of fluorescence is given and the detects Fancy yellow in the following groups: None, light fancy yellow, fancy, intense fancy, and vivid fancy.

The technology can also detect type IIA diamonds, and determine which are suitable for HPHT. The system is automatic and mobile and connects via USB to OGI’s associated products.
