Certified Custom Cut Diamonds by Whiteflash

Have you ever thought about having your very special diamond custom cut for you? Did you even know that was possible? Well, good news- it is and you can! In fact, custom diamond cutting is a service we provide to many customers.

Whiteflash has over twenty years experience in precision diamond cutting. Our specialties include the most precisely cut and polished round and princess cuts ever brought to market – A CUT ABOVE® Super Ideal diamonds. That expertise opens up a full range of options for Whiteflash clients.

In addition to maintaining a production and in-house inventory of A CUT ABOVE® diamonds (including the super elite A CUT ABOVE Collection Series®) , as well as AGS Ideal and GIA Triple Ex diamonds in our Expert Selection and Premium Select categories respectively, we also offer custom diamond cutting for customers looking for diamonds not currently in inventory or in our production pipeline. *(Currently our custom cutting service is limited to round diamonds.)

Quote

Upon understanding the parameters of the diamond you would like to have custom cut, Whiteflash will provide you a free quote with a guaranteed minimum color, clarity and carat weight. Please allow 2 to 3 business days for us to communicate with the factory, verify available rough, and respond with a detailed quote. Because rough is sometimes scarce and costs subject to change, pricing is only guaranteed for 2 business days after quote has been delivered.

Any upgrades accrue to the benefit of the customer. For example, if the quote is for an F color and the lab grades it as E, the price does not increase unless otherwise specified.

Payment

A minimum 20% deposit is required at the time the quote is accepted. The deposit is non-refundable provided that the diamond meets all stated qualifications.

Payment of balance is required within seven business days of notice that the finished stone has met all requirements, and the lab report and diagnostic images have been shared with you. The diamond cannot be shipped prior to payment in full. If payment in full is not received within the required time, Whiteflash reserves the right to liquidate the diamond and retain a 20% re-stocking fee.

Refunds

The deposit is non-refundable and will serve as the 20% re-stocking fee should you decide for any reason not to complete the transaction. Any amounts paid above 20% will be refunded to you.

Most custom cut diamond requests are for A CUT ABOVE® Super ideals and the diamond is guaranteed to meet all qualifications and specifications for the brand. Should the finished diamond not meet the guaranteed quality or weight, you will have no obligation to proceed with the purchase. We will either try again or refund all of your money, at your sole discretion.

Timeline

Most custom cut projects are completed within four to six weeks. If for any reason Whiteflash cannot complete the project within eight weeks, you will have the option of a full refund of any money paid including deposit.

Laboratory Certification and Whiteflash Evaluations

Upon completion of cutting the diamond will be sent from the factory to the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) for certification. You will be notified at this point that the diamond has passed initial quality control.

The diamond will then be shipped to Whiteflash for further examinations and light performance imaging. You will be notified again after the diamond passes final review and all diagnostics will be provided. The diamond will then be prepared for shipment.

Special notes:

Fancy Shapes: At this time we only take custom cut orders for round diamonds.

Flawless Diamonds: We can only guaranty IF (internally flawless). We will try for FL (flawless) but cannot guarantee that grade.

Minimum size: There is no strict minimum size for a custom diamond cut, although .30ct is typically the smallest we cut and usually for multi stone pieces such as 5 stone rings, tennis bracelets and necklaces. We recently made history with this 100 stone custom cut diamond necklace!
