It is absolutely stunning! Seriously, I can't stop staring at it. You all did a wonderful job, and I couldn't be more pleased. My fiancee outdid himself as well...surprise trip to San Francisco, wine tasting in Napa Valley, 3 surprise dinners, and 1 perfect engagement. He chose a beautiful restaurant down by Fisherman's Wharf with a view of the harbor, and the maitre'de, owner, and entire wait staff were in on the plan. They went along with everything and made us wait for a table because my sneaky boyfriend told me we didn't have reservations (which we obviously did). I remember thinking it was odd that they seated us at all, as it was the type of fining dining restaurant that was reservation only. Anyway, after a 4 course meal, Jack demanded we stay for dessert. The entire restaurant got very quiet all of a sudden but I couldn't figure out why. Then the maitre'de set a dessert down in front of me that was shaped like a heart with our initials drizzled along the border. In the center was a matching ring box, then he was down on one knee and I was sobbing. If I had paid more attention, I would have noticed that all of the wait staff had circled around us and everyone in the restaurant was watching. Every waiter had quietly told their tables that an engagement was about to happen, which explained the sudden hush when everyone saw the maitre'de carrying out the dessert. Anyway, I choked out a yes and everyone in the restaurant stood up and clapped. The next day Jack took me to a winery that he had researched. He said he wanted the whole day to be romantic, and it was. The entire winery was lit only by tealight candles...literally thousands of them, because the winery was essentially a collection of tunnels and caves lined by wine barrels. Let me tell you, those candles made by ring look so sparkly. It was amazing. I'm omitting lots of details here, because I could go on for days and days.
