Diamond Anniversary Rings
Diamond anniversary rings are enduring and romantic symbols of the progression and
success of a marriage. Whether presented on the first wedding anniversary or the
fiftieth, anytime is the right time to commemorate the occasion!
Anniversary rings for women come in many different styles. The classic diamond eternity
ring features diamonds (round, baguette or princess cut) going all the way around
the ring in a continuous circle with no beginning and no end. Some feature colored
stones mixed with diamonds, and/or different diamond shapes.
A great option is an anniversary band that is a duplicate of the wedding band. It
can be added on the occasion of a significant anniversary. Worn on the other side
of the engagement ring the second ring completes a three piece diamond wedding set.
Anniversary bands tend to be simpler, straighter and more symmetrical than many
anniversary rings.
Many women prefer the straight, symmetrical look of a diamond eternity ring, but
do not want diamonds going all the way around in a continuous circle. With diamonds
half to three quarters the way around, diamonds are not present on the bottom of
the ring where they cannot be seen and where they might be exposed to wear and tear
through gripping. This is a particularly important consideration for women that
are very active with their hands. Half and three quarter anniversary bands can also
be resized, whereas full eternity rings with diamonds may not be sizeable at all.
A diamond anniversary ring is a great addition and compliment to the engagement
ring and there are many great choices. Platinum and white gold are todays most
popular metals, but yellow gold (extremely popular in years past) is making a comeback
as well. Creating a matching diamond wedding set over time, or converting a simple
engagement ring to something much more dramatic, is a great way to celebrate a wonderful
marriage.
